The North Carolina Environmental justice screening and mapping tool identifies populations disproportionately affected by environmental pollution by mapping environmental, health and demographic data layers. 

The tool helps in making objective determinations about the inequity of environmental burden in communities across North Carolina.

The tool was mapped at the census tract level.
