Lauryn Perpall, MPH

OPERATIONS & OUTREACH SPECIALIST

Lauryn Perpall graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, minor in Leadership Studies from Hampton University, and a Master of Public Health in Public Health Practice and Policy from University of Maryland, College Park. Her capstone examined The World Water Crisis (B.S.) and Water Quality across the United States (MPH).

Lauryn believes in the transformative power of education and its ability to make a meaningful impact, one step at a time. She has immersed herself in the rich tapestry of public health, exploring diverse interests ranging from healthy equity and disparities to community engagement, environmental justice, cancer, and implementation science.

As an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the American Public Health Association, Lauryn’s dedication to community service and advocacy is steadfast, shaping her into a catalyst for positive change in public health and beyond. She recognizes the crucial role of health equity in improving population health outcomes.

Her dedication to contributing to her community through proactive actions, insightful research, and effective communication strategies, led her to found a social impact organization, The Public Health Record, LLC.

It is a comprehensive platform offering health education strategies, support services for individuals grappling with health challenges and proactive guidance for those teetering on the brink of adversity. Additionally, The Public Health Record spotlights public health professionals, highlights advancements in research, and debunks common myths related to public health. Lauryn and The Public Health Record aim to empower individuals with preventive strategies and resources.

In 2018, Lauryn received the Health Education Award from the State of Virginia. Recently, she was awarded The Boston Congress of Public Health’s 2024 40 under 40 Health Catalyst Award.
