Dr. Haile Tadesse, PhD
GIS SPECIALIST
Haile K. Tadesse (Ph.D.) is a GIS specialist at T.H.E. EJ Lab.
He graduated from George Mason University with an Environmental Science and Public Policy degree. His master’s is in Physical Land Resources Management (Ghent University, Belgium).
He has a decade-long research experience in GIS data collection, analysis and visualizations, remote sensing data classification, change detection, drone data analysis, watershed modeling using SWAT and APEX models, environmental science, soil science, and data mining. He has been analyzing data for and from federal government agencies (USGS, EPA, USDA, Census, DOT, and NOAA) and published several manuscripts in various journals.
For the last year and a half, he developed Environmental Justice Screening Tools at the State and Regional levels.
